Passion For The Plant
The foundation everything comes with and comes from. It's the root the other two grow from.
What Is The Canna 50?
The Canna 50 is Cannabis Professional's list of the 50 most influential people on the front line of cannabis: the budtenders.
The best of them share three things. They have a real passion for the plant. They love matching every client and patient with the right cannabis experience. And they lift up the people around them, from fellow budtenders to the whole frontline cannabis community.
Most of them would never call that special. To them it's just the job, and they figure everyone should care about clients and patients as much as they do. The Canna 50 is the industry telling them otherwise.
Getting on the list starts with you. Use the one form to nominate a budtender, back someone already nominated, or nominate yourself.
The Three Pillars
Every nomination, profile and vote comes back to these.
Patient And Client Focus
Putting the people across the counter first, every visit.
Responsible Citizen Of The Cannabis Community
Lifting up fellow budtenders, their company and the wider community, and helping everyone sell safely and responsibly.
How It Works
- One form for everyone. Nominate a budtender, back someone already nominated, or nominate yourself.
- Nominating yourself? An optional video of your passion-for-the-plant story is the best way to rally clients, patients and peers to vote.
- Confirm your email. Nothing counts until you do.
- One vote per confirmed email per budtender. You can back different budtenders. You can't vote more than once for the same one.
- Tell us about the three pillars. The more you tell us, the more it helps.
- Cannabis Professional uses the nominations, votes and stories you share to make editorial decisions on the final 50.
By entering you agree to the Official Rules.
Nominate Or Vote
Nominations close Dec. 31, 2026 · Winners announced Jan. 8, 2027 · Official Rules
A nomination recognizes a budtender who lives the three pillars every day: passion for the plant, putting patients and clients first, and being a responsible citizen of the cannabis community. You nominate someone because you've seen it firsthand and believe they deserve to be recognized for it.
Nominate a budtender, back someone already nominated, or nominate yourself. We'll email you a link to confirm. One vote per confirmed email per budtender: you can back different budtenders, and you can't vote more than once for the same one.
Votes and nominations must come from a real person. Bots, scripts, fake or disposable emails, or paid vote services can disqualify the votes and the nominee.
